Rica Abad

Maria Angelica “Rica” D. Abad is the Associate Producer of “Dahling Nick,” a 2015 Cinema One Original Film Festival docu-drama on Philippine National Artist for Literature, Nick Joaquin. She also works as the Program Development Associate from the University of the Philippines (UP) Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. She is Co-Area Editor in the Broadcast Volume of the Cultural Center of the Philippines Encyclopedia of Philippine Art, 2nd edition (CCP-EPA2), and a Content Writer in the digital version. She was a full-time professor in the Broadcast Department of the UP College of Mass Communication (UPCMC) in Diliman from AY 2014-2015. She currently serves as the Board Secretary of the UPCMCAA, and a Board of Trustee of the UP CMC Foundation, Inc . She has received her BA Communication degree major in Broadcast Communication minor in Advertising & Public Relations from UP Diliman in 1992, and her MS Television and Radio Management and Programming from Brooklyn College- City University of New York in 1995.
